Hello All, We have recently hosted a ama session with Chronicle. The Chronicle team was attended for the ama session. They shared a lot about the project in Details and many information about their project. Read out more about the project.

SEGMENT 1 — INTRODUCTION

HOST: Guys, we’ll start with our AMA with the Chronicle team!

Welcome to our community Mr. @chaos_timothy

TIM GLOVER: Thank you, Thomas. Hello Crypto Mansion Community! Happy to be here

HOST: Are you ready to start our session today?

TIM GLOVER: I am ready and excited … let’s go!

HOST: Let’s start with some basic questions, so let’s go to our first segment today.

SEGMENT 1 — INTRODUCTORY QUESTIONS

HOST: Question 1. Can you give us a brief introduction to Chonicle? What protocols does your project involve and what is your role in it?

TIM GLOVER: Absolutely!

So Chronicle is a platform for officially licensed digital collectibles, or non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that is 100% fan-focused.

We want to put this platform in an easy to use application that any non-crypto person will be able to use. And I am happy to get more into what this looks like later as some of the questions go more specific.

On the surface, fans (users of Chronicle) will be able to buy, sell, trade, bid (auction) and gift digital collectibles from their favourite IPs.

My role in Chronicle is one of the co-founders. My background and involvement is that back in 2014–15 I worked with the digital marketing team at Universal Pictures in Los Angeles to create an immersive digital experience for fans of the Jurassic World movie, under the guidance of film director Colin Trevorrow.

(Hint: That fan experience turned out very well!)

We later came back and created another digital fan-focused experience for the next film with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in 2017–18.

Having made digital fan experiences for a mega franchise previously, we feel we can bring a unique perspective and experience to the world of digital collectibles.

HOST: Question 2. Chonicle is based on Digital Collectables. Can you tell us about what types of collectibles your project has? Is it just digital art or do you plan to tokenize other assets?

TIM GLOVER: That’s right. So personally I used to collect a lot of physical trading cards in the 1990s as a kid. I had a lot of NBA basketball cards from the likes of Upper Deck and Topps, cricket cards from Futera, and movie cards from Jurassic Park.

I sort of like to imagine, how would a “Ready Player One” movie show a digital trading card to be in the future? I think with smart phone devices and 2D and 3D animation skills that our studio has we have a lot of room to play with.

Collectible trading cards have the ability to be really exciting right now!

To answer your question specifically, we can expect digitally animated trading cards as well as collectibles that allow you to connect to the metaverse.

HOST: Question 3. Chronicle is a digital market and research platform built entirely for fans. Do you have a program that allows for direct interaction between fans and Chronicle artists? What impact can these fanatics have on your NFTs?

TIM GLOVER: Right! So in case anyone isn’t quite aware, the acquisition of a license from a major brand or film studio is actually quite special. There are a lot of brand guidelines that must be adhered to, and so our internal Chronicle Studio would be working with the brand owners to create digital assets that they are happy for us to publish.

However, we have stated that we would love to be showcasing the talent of the community as there are many tremendous naturally talented artists out there. We may even suggest in the future to a brand owner (for example) about holding a competition where selected artworks can become collectibles. You never know!

Perhaps there are even suggestions from the community of how we might be able to work on this further. Let us know!

I can also add that in our Roadmap we have plans to release Chronicle DAO, an open platform that would allow fans to issue their own artworks and trade them openly. More details on this can be found within our Whitepaper (accessible via chronicle.io)

HOST: Question 4. $XNL is your native token and it is related to a rewards program. Can you tell us about this program you have developed for Chronicle users and holders? How will the community benefit from this?

TIM GLOVER: A great question!

We see XNL in its current state as a utility and reward token within the Chronicle ecosystem. I say current state, because I like to think that we will be evolving the state and creating many use cases over time. Jim (my fellow co-founder) and I like to think of BNB as a great example.

Chronicle users will be able to look forward to:

Marketplace:
- Priority access to limited edition digital collectibles

Community Governance:
- Create and vote for different feature requests regarding development

Treasury:
- Includes XNL token buyback from revenue (🔥🔥🔥)

Rewards and Bonus:
- Launching of DeFi-like incentivised programs where users can stake XNL and earn rewards

Fees and Discounts:
- Enjoying discounts on collectibles when holding a certain amount of XNL tokens (also ties in with the gamification of the platform)

HOST: Question 5. Finally, what are Chronicle’s plans for this year? Do you have a roadmap that you can share with us?

TIM GLOVER: Sure, happy to elaborate what we’re looking to get done in 2021, as well as highlight what has been done already.

Q1
-We started with our Seed Round and Branding in Q1 which was well received. Some of those partners have now been announced as 4SV and Bella Protocol.
-We also made sure to get our website and social media up and running.

Q2
- Private sale began (oversubscribed) and more partners onboarded. Some to be announced in time.
- Chronicle staff and technical team onboarded — including Doug Neil who worked for Universal Pictures in Los Angeles for 10+ years, and Jack Ewins and Manuel Bejarano who worked on the Jurassic World digital fan campaigns with me.
- App development began.
- XNL smart contract developed and audited.
- Launchpad partner TBA.

Q3
- Our Chronicle platform to be released with 2–3 brands.
- Expansion of further collectibles on Chronicle.

Q4
- Further application updates.
- Release of the Chronicle Medal System.

HOST: Incredible responses in this segment. Thank you Tim for sharing all this information about Chronicle! We are excited to learn more about this project in the future.

SEGMENT 2 — LUCKY QUESTIONS WILL BE SELECTED FROM TWITTER

Q1:Regarding the premium access to limited edition collectibles that you talk about on your website, what will be the conditions to qualify for this access? Will there be a special membership fee or a minimum amount of $XNL tokens?

TIM GLOVER: We’re still working on the business rules of what this will look like, however it can be safely assumed that we would like to split the purchasing of digital collectibles from the Chronicle Store into two main categories:

1) Priority access for XNL token holders, and
2) First come first served for the rest (direct USD buyers)

Our hope is that everyone will eventually want to be in the first category, creating hype and demand for XNL!

Q2: I saw that Chronicle will have “Chronicle Medals”, could you give us more information about this medals? And, as far as I know, medals always have different categories, so, will they, indeed, have categories? What is their main function and how can people get them?

TIM GLOVER: That’s right. Chronicle Medals are native NFTs within Chronicle which are used to certify users for their constant support and contribution to the Chronicle ecosystem. They are effectively “NFT’d user privileges”!

Best of all, they will be tradable (i.e. they will hold value!)

At the moment we have some idea that we would like to split the Medals into at least 4 main categories) including:

1. Legendary Medals
2. Epic Medals
3. Rare Medals
4. Uncommon Medals

Medal holders will enjoy discounts, coupons, privileges, exclusive access within Chronicle, and more!

Sorry just to add, Medals will be collected by Staking XNL

Q3: Chronicle’s marketplace is based on authenticated digital collectibles licensed directly from the world’s leading brands. Which brands are part of your project and will tokenize their products on NFT? What is the authentication process that will make your NFTs unique?

TIM GLOVER: That’s right, we’re looking to partner with beloved brands from across the globe. We are in a number of discussions at the moment with world renowned IPs, and whilst I would love to reveal who those are, at the moment we can’t.

However what I can tell you is that we are looking at more than just film and entertainment. You can expect Chronicle’s digital collectibles to be from across a variety of genres, including:

- Film and Television Entertainment
- Games
- Music
- Celebrities
- Sports
- Pop culture
- And more!

As to the last question, Chronicle’s collectibles will be unique because every collectible inside Chronicle will be 100% officially licensed by the brand owner!

Q4: $XNL is a utility token designed to offer a rewards and incentives, so according to it, XNL is a utility and also a reward token, what are the uses it currently has and that would give it long term value as a reward?

TIM GLOVER: I think we did partially answer this question in our first segment. The user is correct that XNL is both a reward and utility token.

Essentially XNL “powers” Chronicle because whilst a platform like Chronicle could exist without XNL, it wouldn’t be as “good” of an application and it certainly wouldn’t be as much “fun”.

XNL is designed to reward the users who hold it. Our recent partnership with Bella Protocol also means we will be looking to further create defi-like strategies around XNL.

More information on that partnership can be found here:
https://medium.com/@chronicle.xnl/partnership-announcement-bella-protocol-17182078426d

I would recommend anyone looking for further information on XNL use cases to please read the Chronicle whitepaper on our website! 🚀🚀

Q5: What are your global expansion plans? Which market are you focusing on right now, or are you focused on building and growing to acquire customers, users and partners?

TIM GLOVER: Aha, well here is a difference about Chronicle than MOST of the other NFT projects out there …

Aside from having a team that has a direct background working with a world famous studio and movie franchise, Chronicle is the first platform to be building a strategic global footprint in more than one location.

That is to say, Chronicle is in the process of establishing offices globally across Los Angeles, Singapore, Beijing and Australia in an effort to better collaborate and coordinate with IP partners.

As for Chronicle users themselves, we will be looking to partner with fan networks for the onboarding of digital collectibles within Chronicle. Fans are a terrific access point and many online fan communities are in the hundreds of thousands, if not, millions .. and are a great partner to engage with!

SEGMENT 3 — COMMUNITY QUESTIONS

Q1: I read that one feature on Chronicle is something called “Premium Auction”. Can you tell us more about it? What are the requirements for users to be part of this auctions and what are the benefits of doing so? Also, will Chronicle have other Premium features? $XNL

TIM GLOVER: Sure, happy to talk about this.

Chronicle essentially has 3 main shop fronts.
1. Chronicle Store for the purchasing of digital collectibles
2. Secondary marketplace where users can trade and sell collectibles
3. Auctions for premium collectibles

Where we like to auction off extremely rare, limited edition collectibles (e.g. 1 of 5 only exist in the world) we would like to do this from the auction store. Users would be able to place bids within a certain time limit and at the end the winning bid would receive the item.

Q2: I saw that Chronicle is doing an event right now called “Chronicle Awards” which is currently on it’s 3rd round. Could you share more about this event with us? What is it’s main purpose and what are the benefits of it? How can users participate? How many round will there be? $XNL

TIM GLOVER: That’s right! Because we were oversubscribed in our Seed and Private Sale Rounds we wanted the community to have a chance to get into some XNL allocation on the same terms as Private Sale participants.

The Chronicle Awards are an opportunity to get in that XNL allocation.

Rounds 1 and 2 have been completed. Round 3 is still open and allows 5 individuals to get a $250 USD allocation in our sale (prior to the Public Sale / Launchpad event).

All that needs to be done is a simple retweet of our pinned Twitter post with what you are most looking forward to seeing with Chronicle. The team will select the best answers within 24 hours from now, so be quick!

Q3:Can you explain the Tokenomics of your project $XNL

TIM GLOVER: Sure, the Tokenomics have been split across Sold Tokens (Seed, Private, Public), Licensing & Partnerships, Team, Advisors, Community, and Foundation Reserve. Full details in the diagram below …

Q4: Considering the rate OF SCAM and RUGPULL, IS this project safe Is the smart contract AUDITED are we free form market problems. ? $XNL

TIM GLOVER: Absolutely, security is paramount to Chronicle and as you can imagine as we look to onboard premium IP partners this makes security even more important.

I can proudly say our XNL Smart Contract has been audited by blockchain’s #1 security and audit firm, CertiK, and the full report will be made available soon for the public.

Q5:What is your motive behind the creation of this project $XNL

TIM GLOVER: Great question. To put it simply, we genuinely want to create a kick-ass platform that is built for fans.

The type of vision for the product I imagine in a few years, is that eventually Chronicle will have so many collectibles from beloved brands that users will eventually be collecting what is personal to them …

i.e. Your favourite movies, films, childhood animations, sci-fi shows, celebrities, sports stars, games, you name it!

Eventually your collection will be a reflection of who you are, as an individual. And that excites the hell out of me!
